Method:
- You can use the AeroPress either the traditional way (as shown in the picture) or the inverted way. Inverted way allows for slightly longer extraction times without any water dripping through the filter before you actually press.
- Boil the water in a kettle and let it cool for about 30 seconds.

- Rinse the filter paper with running water.
- Measure out your coffee carefully and grind it just before brewing. Grind setting similar to filter should be used.
- Many recipes exist, but our current preferred dose is 14-16g of freshly ground coffee to about 200-210ML of water.
- Place the coffee into AeroPress.
- Pour approximately half of the water over the grounds and start the timer.
- Stir, then top up with the rest of the water.
- Brewing times may vary slightly for different coffees, but 45 seconds is our preferred average brewing time.
- If using the inverted method, screw on the filter holder with rinsed filter paper in place.
- Press straight into a mug or another sturdy container.
- Unscrew the filter holder, press the puck of coffee into a waste bin (or into your compost bin) together with the filter paper, and rinse the Aeropress under running water.
Important:
- use fresh, good quality coffee
- make sure coffee is ground correctly
- measure the right amount of coffee and water
- time the process
