PERU

El Guabo (organic) Decaf CO2 Process

El Guabo Estate coffee is produced in the San Ignacio region in the Northern Peruvian Highlands by a growers' association of 120 families. Children in national costume playing at El Guabo Coffee is the mainstay of the economy and the community lives from what they earn selling the coffee beans.

GUATEMALA

San Juan La Laguna - Pasajquim (organic)

This coffee is produced by 52 small farms, close to Lake Atitlan in the west of the country. Each of the farms is on average only 2 hectares in size. Local people in this area are of direct Mayan descent.

NICARAGUA

Finca Santa Maura

Santa Maura is located in the northern central part of Nicaragua, in the mountainous area where the Dariense and Isabelia mountain ranges meet. It is set within the 'Reserva Natural Datanlí-El Diabolo' nature reserve and covers an area of 630 hectares of which 280 hectares are planted under coffee, and an area equal to the entire coffee producing area is also preserved as virgin forest. The farm cultivates 4 traditional varietals of Arabica (Pacamara, Caturra, Borbón, Catuaí) as well as this new lot of Maracatú, a hybrid of Maragogype and Caturra. Santa Maura was a finalist at Nicaragua Cup of Excellence in 2003. Their proud motto is “Taste the fruits of our labours”.
